Finding a Compatible Xbox 360
This page is to assist people with finding a proper Xbox 360
In order to be able to sucessfully modify your console, you will need to have a compatible DVD Drive
Although you can take your chances with buying a random console, it is better to use the Xbox 360 Drive Database and be confident in your purchase
How to use the Xbox 360 Drive Database
The database can help you either identify your current drive (if you already own an Xbox 360), or to find a compatible Xbox 360 before purchasing from a store.
Finding a Compatible Xbox:
- Go to the Xbox 360 Drive Database
- At the top you will notice several drop down menu's
- Select your console (Premium, Core, Elite, Arcade)
- Select Benq as your drive
- Select your country (Canada)
- Now click the Search Button
- Now write down the series of Lot Numbers that contain the Benq drive
- You can also sort the list by stores that you prefer
- When buying your 360 either online or in store, match the lot number in this list with those on the box (written beside the serial number on the box)
Determining Your Xbox 360 Drive:
- Go to the Xbox 360 Drive Database
- At the top you will notice several drop down menu's
- Select your console (Premium, Core, Elite, Arcade)
- Select or Enter Your Manufacture Date (Labeled MFR Date)
- Now click the Search Button
- Your drive type will be shown on the drive column to the right
- Call or Email to determine whether drive is compatible for a modification
